On Time marks Lisa Temple’s return to realistic figurative oil painting. This body of work presents new symbolic pieces that contemplate time as both a force that shapes and a presence that reveals. The figures—often headless—shift focus to gesture, posture, and action, emphasizing the significance of the moment rather than identity. In this way, the works speak to the shared human condition, inviting viewers to reflect on time as either burden or gift, and sometimes both.
