Jodie Beck

Painter

Born and raised surrounded by rugged beauty, rich agriculture, rolling mountain bluffs and extreme seasonal changes, Jodie Beck grew up with a steady stream of inspiration fueling an artistic vision. She studied art history, music and photography at CSUC receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Psychology.

While raising five children, in 2004 she opened a fine art photography studio, and found early success in seeing her works published, and winning several competitive titles. In 2012, with the help of her husband, the business expanded into a large retail storefront offering mixed media and fine art supplies. Finding herself surrounded with the finest tools of the trade, the last 10 years were devoted to teaching artistic techniques and inspiring a creative life of exploration and expression, using watercolor, oils, pastels, encaustic, resin, fiber arts, acrylics, and ink.

Upon relocating to Texas in 2020, Jodie’s award-winning abstract paintings have been curated and shown in several juried exhibitions. Her work has been described as an eclectic mix between contemporary minimalism and expressionistic abstract, with thrilling vibrancy as well as an organic textural feel. Her work can be found in several contemporary art galleries and private collections across the DFW metroplex. She currently resides in Aubrey Texas with her husband and two teenage sons.
