The butterfly is often used as a symbol of freedom or flying free. Sandy Hinton-Forbes' husband Alex was very proud of his beautiful garden. He took many photos that Sandy has cherished since his passing. She frequently sits outside among the flowers and enjoys the butterflies that still visit those gardens. His photos provide ongoing inspiration for her current paintings.
